The MEXTESOL Journal Editors have been busy getting ready for our 40th Anniversary, marking the four decades that the MJ has been published in Mexico. To celebrate, we have ten articles from Mexico, Spain and the United States in this issue for our readers.

To begin with, “Language Teachers Become Researchers: Emotions and Workload Intensification in Mexican Higher Institutions” is a refereed article by Mariza G. Méndez López of the Universidad de Quintana Roo in Chetumal.
